Creative Commons is a global nonprofit organization that enables sharing and reuse of intellectual and artistic property through the provision of free legal tools. Currently there are over 1.1 billion works shared on Creative Commons.
This is the standard symbol for copyright. It does not need to be displayed in order for something to be copyright protected.
What is Copyright?
Copyright, a form of intellectual property law, protects original works of authorship including literary, dramatic, musical, and artistic works, such as poetry, novels, movies, songs, computer software, and architecture. Copyright does not protect facts, ideas, systems, or methods of operation, although it may protect the way these things are expressed.
What is Copyright Infringement?
Copyright infringement occurs when you copy someone else's work without their permission.
Are there any exceptions for educational uses?
